ABOUT US

OUR HISTORY

In 2012, LaDonte’ Lee, Ron Leeper, Visionary and Victor Earl, Executive Director of Men Who Care Global envisioned a ten-week “mentouring huddle” program for high school male students who were involved in the justice system at West Charlotte High. The next year, Lee met George Metz while the two of them were working with Communities In Schools Charlotte-Mecklenburg, serving adjudicated youth at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office Jail North, West Charlotte High School, and Turning Point Academy. Through their partnership, they observed several gaps in the services provided to youthful offenders. To address these needs, Lee and Metz founded MenTouring Our Brothers, Inc. in January 2015, designed both Prevention and Reentry programs to close many of the youthful offender service gaps.
